In October 2011, Morra Aarons-Mele and Christine Koh of Women Online, Roxanna Sarmiento of Everyday Treats and Whitney Johnson of Rose Park Advisors hosted the first Pivot Boston. The response to the inaugural event was overwhelming — the 120 person event sold out (tickets were $10; proceeds were donated in entirety to charity) and ran a wait list. And attendees described it as “the best networking event in Boston.”
